The Toyota 4Runner is a classic medium-sized SUV. In comparison with the 3rd generation, 4Runner has become more modern.
With an updated design of the body and interior, a new suspension, and with a completely new engine.
The Toyota 4Runner, the next version of the off-road vehicle, produced from 2002 to 2009, was created on a common platform with the Land Cruiser Prado 120 model. Four-cylinder engines disappeared from the range of power units and a new V6 4.0 engine with a capacity of 245 hp was installed on the car. In 2003, Toyota 4Runner received an eight-cylinder engine with a volume of 4.7 liters (235 hp), and in 2005, thanks to the variable valve timing system, its output increased to 260 hp.
All versions have been equipped with five-speed automatic devices. The SUV has modifications with rear or full (connected, in cars with six cylinders and constant, in cars with eight cylinders) drive. The list of options has been supplemented with electronic assistance systems for descent from the mountain and taking-off on the climb, as well as the third row of seats.
