The Lexus RX is the car built on the platform of Lexus ES 300 sedan, which belongs to the lower, but luxury class. The power unit is a 3-liter 24-valve 220-hp V6 engine plus an automatic 4-speed box. Disc brakes, the front brakes are ventilated. The seats of the first row have eight adjustments, as well as a lateral support. The driver's seat is shifted for 17 mm. The engine has adjustable intake and exhaust tracts and - for the first time on an off-road vehicle - the variable valve timing, depending on the load. Quite difficult, but without these technical solutions, the motor would be weak for such a car (1.676 kg in the front-wheel drive version, and nearly two tons with a full drive).
